I LOVE photobooks!!!
I recently had a wonderful opportunity to photograph the cute little Lucy for a couple of days. Coolum area and the beach was the theme, as it has a special place in Lucy's owner's heart. We did morning and afternoon at the beach, and street and town shots as well to round off the 'story".
Lucy is a dream dog to work with as she is so well trained.
The surf was a bit rougher than normal, with a cyclone playing out Fiji way. Poor little Lucy had a bad fright when a rogue wave came rushing in, and swept her off her feet. I know about rogue waves, one got me in the morning, and I nearly went swimming with my camera! Both Lucy and I kept a close eye out on the waves after that!
The beauty of having a full day, or a couple of days is that you can do a few different areas in both the morning and afternoon, and create a great selection of photos.
I have the beach in my list of themes, but these are usually just morning or afternoon sessions. However, if you would like to create a wider selection of images to make up a lovely story, then this is the way to go!
Lucy’s mum purchased the cd option, and she will be creating her own photo book, putting in the words she would like and creating her story, rather than just an album of images. This is a wonderful treasure to have forever.
I have photobooks of images I have taken, especially my birds, and my overseas trips. I love sitting down with a coffee and flicking through the books, reading my little stories and reliving the moment. These will be coming with me when the day comes that I have to go to a nursing home!
I cannot express enough how great photobooks are! That is what makes digital so great. Yes, I can do an album of the best photos, at a cost to you, but you can create your own ‘story’ with the cd of digital images. Add your own words, create your special memories. There is just so much you can do.
Quite a few companies offer specials, so try them out and see which one you like the best. Currently I am using photobookclub.
I love seeing art on the wall, but I love seeing the rest of the images in a book! A pet's life is more than just one or two great photos!
I would love to hear if you have done photobooks, especially of your furry family.
